My daughter is sensitive to any product that contains nickel. And by sensitive, I mean that she needs to sit on a foam pad and use a footstool to get into any car, eat with wooden silverware, wear 3-inch soles on her shoes if she goes anywhere that might have a quartz floor, etc, etc, etc. Finding her a portable silicone keyboard for her computer was quite easy. But it has taken several tries to find a mouse she can use for longer than 20 minutes at a time. This one fits the bill. The fidget layer is thick enough to keep her from getting sensitive to the mouse and she can use it as long as she needs to. I am thrilled. We have only had the mouse for three months, and we had not had any connectivity issues at all. If we do, I would buy a whole new one if we had to. Or buy 10 more so that she has a lifetime supply of these!! If you have the same sensitivities, this will work for you. Edited on 10/9/23 Our first one lasted ten months and we had to reorder because it kicked the bucket one day without warning. I did not hesitate to reorder the exact same thing because it has been such a lifesaver. I did pay for the protection plan the second time around so that next time it dies I will be covered for a replacement. I personally think a mouse should last longer than ten months, but until I find a long-lasting mouse that my daughter can actually use, we're sticking with this one!
